Quick eligibility self-check

Answer all five questions, then tap Check Eligibility for a personalized response. This is for guidance only and does not constitute approval.

1. Are you planning to buy a home in the United States?
2. Will the home be your primary residence? DPA is only available for owner-occupied primary homes. Investment properties and second homes do not qualify.
3. Are you a first-time homebuyer (or have you not owned a home in the last three years)? "First-time buyer" generally means anyone who hasn't owned a primary residence in the past three years.
4. Do you intend to apply for a first mortgage from a licensed lender? Dream Home Fund's silent second sits behind a standard first mortgage (FHA, VA, USDA, or conventional) from any qualified lender.
5. Are you willing to complete a HUD-approved homebuyer education course? Most DPA programs require a short online course (typically ~$99) before closing. Dream Home Fund does too.

Looks like you may be a fit.

Based on your answers, you appear to meet Dream Home Fund's general eligibility criteria. Dream Home Fund DPA is delivered through your first-mortgage lender, so the next step is to ask your lender about us so they can package our silent second into your loan. If you do not yet have a lender, a HUD-approved counselor can help.

Reminder: this self-check is for guidance only. Final eligibility is determined by Dream Home Fund underwriting in coordination with your lender.

You may be close, let's clarify.

Some of your answers suggest you might still qualify, but a few details need clarification first. Common reasons:

You may not currently qualify for our DPA.

Based on your answers, Dream Home Fund's silent-second DPA may not be the right fit for you right now. Common reasons:

This doesn't mean homeownership is out of reach, it just means a different path may serve you better. A HUD-approved housing counselor can help you find programs and a strategy tailored to your situation.

This self-check is informational only. It is not an application, an offer, or a guarantee of approval. Final eligibility is determined through Dream Home Fund's underwriting process and is subject to program availability, fund availability, and applicable law.
